Thank you for choosing to work with Animals of the Earth. My intention is to create a supportive, respectful, and compassionate experience for both you and your animal. The following information helps ensure that our work together is clear, comfortable, and respectful for everyone involved.

My Approach

All services offered by Animals of the Earth are complementary in nature. They create opportunities to explore wellbeing, connection, relaxation, and individual choice, while honouring each animal as a unique individual.

Sessions are guided by the animal's responses and preferences, allowing their own choices to shape the experience wherever possible.

My services are not intended to diagnose, treat, prescribe for, or cure any medical or behavioural condition and should not be considered a substitute for veterinary care.

Veterinary Care

If your animal is unwell, has a diagnosed medical condition, or is receiving veterinary treatment, you should continue to work closely with your veterinary surgeon.

Depending on the service and your animal's circumstances, veterinary referral or consent may be required before certain work, particularly bodywork, can take place.

Initial Questions & Consultation Forms

Following your initial enquiry, I will ask a few questions to gain a little more understanding of you and your animal. This helps me consider whether an IMIM session is appropriate and whether I am the right person to support you before moving to the next stage.

If we feel ready to proceed, you will be asked to complete a consultation form before your first session. Please ensure that all information provided is accurate and up to date, including any medical conditions, medications or supplements, behavioural concerns, and relevant veterinary history.

Appointments

Appointments will be arranged following receipt and review of your consultation form. Session times are agreed in advance and every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred dates where possible.

Please ensure your animal is available and, where appropriate, has access to a calm and suitable environment for the session to take place.

Travel

For in-person sessions, travel is included for journeys of up to 10 miles from IP13.

For journeys beyond 10 miles, a mileage charge of 55p per mile will apply to the additional distance.

Any applicable travel costs will be confirmed with you before your appointment is booked.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours' notice where possible.

I understand that emergencies can arise and will always do my best to be accommodating. Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may require payment in advance for future bookings.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of booking or on the day of the session, unless otherwise agreed.

Details of accepted payment methods will be provided when your appointment is confirmed.

*Please note that sample oils chosen by your animal are in addition to the session cost.

Remote Sessions

For remote sessions, a recent photograph of your animal may be requested before the appointment.

Where an online IMIM session is being carried out with a guardian present, you will need to be able to position your computer or device so that I can clearly observe your animal throughout the session while I guide you through the process.

Following a remote session, any written reflections will be sent electronically or by post, where appropriate and based on certain offerings.

Where a bespoke flower essence blend is included or to send sample kits for an online session, this will be posted to the address provided. Please note that an additional £5.99 P&P charge applies unless stated otherwise.

Natural Materials and Self-Selection

During Applied Zoopharmacognosy sessions, animals may be offered a carefully considered range of natural materials on a voluntary self-selection basis.

Animals are never forced to engage with any material and are free to approach, explore, interact with, or move away from what is offered according to their own preferences.

Any suggestions for continuing opportunities for exploration between sessions are offered as guidance only and should always be carried out responsibly and under appropriate supervision.

Client Responsibility

You remain responsible for your animal's welfare, care, and veterinary treatment at all times.

Information, observations and suggestions shared during sessions are intended to support your understanding of your animal's behaviour, preferences and environment.

 

Confidentiality

All information shared during consultations and sessions will be treated with respect and confidentiality and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, unless required by law.

Respecting the Journey

Every animal is an individual, and every session is unique. As this work is guided by the animal's responses, preferences, and choices, specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

My commitment is to create a calm, respectful, and supportive space in which animals and their guardians can explore wellbeing, connection, and understanding together.
